American Independence Day, 2012
The guys in Moro, Oregon heard we were passing through so of course they wanted
Julie to be their SpokesModel also.
The Moro museum has this early vintage horse drawn roach coach hidden behind a
chain link fence so that people can't take decent pictures of it.
Moro, Oregon is an "interesting" town. And I mean interesting in the context of
there must be something in the water. A classic example is the museum's careful
placement of a trash dumpster in a location that spoils the shot for anyone wanting
to take a picture of their Chicago Aermotor.
Then there's the local yokel who drove around and around and around in circles driving
some beat up truck that was badly in need of a muffler and a richer jet in the carburetor.
Then there are these storefronts on the main drag through Moro that defy all
description...
And of course since we were passing by Hood River, naturally we had to stop at
the Gorge Panda for kung pao and serpent surprise.
Then it's back to the barn after a long but very pleasant day.
